The PS3 is a great system. Easy to use, futuristic-screen interface, the hardware quality and stylish, great graphics, many advantages. But you should make a PS3 or Xbox 360? And what about the Wii?
Note: I own all three units, and thank you all. I have no bias to one system or another, just my personal experience and opinion …
PS3 ============================================
What I like about the PS3:
1) Blu-ray future proof (Sony updates the players on the Internet for free, which now supports 3D films / TV)
2) Clean, more futuristic in the display interface (feels more mature after Xbox 360)
3) Better / smoother / faster graphics (in the 10 + games I have a 1080p HDTV 60 “)
4) free online multiplayer games (no monthly or annual fees, such as Xbox 360, which I hate about you Xbox)
5) Keep clicking on its line of Netflix on the PS3 for free (Xbox account on Xbox Live is necessary, use your Netflix account, another thing I hate about you Xbox)
6) Exterior: More futuristic, luxury, mature look. Device is more like an elegant home theater. (Xbox 360 is aimed at young, Xbox is more like an “entertainment” device)
7) Lighter, thinner, smaller controller. Built on a longer battery life. (The Xbox controller do not come with a standard battery, and it feels heavier and more bloated then the PS3 controller).
Built-in wireless connectivity. (An option in the Xbox)
9) Toslink optical integrated connectivity for home theater audio connection. (An option in the Xbox)
10) I can make my games (o) Bluetooth wireless cell phone headset for voice and chat enabled. (The Xbox can not)
What I like least about the PS3:
1) My first PS3 (the “rich”) had a disk failure after 13 months of ownership, a month after the warranty. The PS3 is still running, I can not use discs. That is, I can see the Blu-ray disc-based games, I can not play on it. I can still play through the PlayStation Store (demos, etc) that Netflix can still see it, and I can still movies from my PC through the network to view. The fact that my PS3 drive died after about 1 year limited use really sensitive about the quality of customer service and hardware / treatment. I paid over $ 400 for my PS3 first, and I did maybe two times a week. After searching on the internet about my problem, I had a problem with the proliferation of fat PS3. Is this problem with the PS3 Slim? Time will tell, I hope so. I just wish Sony would have fixed my problem for free (as I think has been neglected hardware or bad technique, which has led to this problem, not mine).
2) Games (new and used) are generally more expensive than the Xbox 360
3) I liked the shiny look of the PS3′s first generation. The new PS3 Slim seems a bit low / cheaper. It is smaller, however, and that’s a plus.
4) The battery in the PS3 controller is not capable. That is, if the controller dies mid-game, you have to connect to it. (The Xbox controller has replaceable batteries)
5) If I buy a game (full or demo), I can not play the download immediately. After discharge (lasting more than an hour), I have the game (the other 10 to 30 minutes can take advantage of +), good for nothing at that moment my PS3 until it finishes installing. Xbox downloading in the background and play immediately without having to install the game. Also, when I turn on the PS3, the final discharge (the Xbox off when finished downloading.)
Xbox 360 ============================================
What I like about the Xbox 360:
1) More people have it. In other words, all my friends, family and colleagues of Xbox 360. That also means that if I want to play with them online, I have on my Xbox, using a scam to me. (I prefer to use my PS3 for better graphics and easier to regulate less.)
2) I can play, download updates and demos in the background, compared to the Xbox. So you can start a download and go to bed without box all night. (The PS3 can not do this)
3) If I can download a game (full or demo), I can play immediately. In the PS3 has to download (lasting more than an hour), then install it (this could take another 10-30 minutes or more), when the PS3 is useless until it is completed.
4) My late generation Xbox Elite is longer than my first generation PS3 did (surprisingly)
5) also serves as a Media Center Extender. I have a PC, the sample records for me in Media Center (like a Tivo, but no monthly fees). I can on these shows and live TV through the network via my Xbox. This is a very cool feature and talk. And most people can do with a Windows PC, this, look.
6) The console and the games (new and used) are cheaper than the PS3.
What I like about the Xbox 360 as a minimum:
1) Have you still no Blu-ray player. This is an important context for the PS3. It is used in traditional DVDs, but.
2) In my experience, the quality of the graphics a bit younger than my PS3. In Grand Theft Auto IV, I see more and more objects at once on my PS3. The PS3 has a faster speed when the Xbox feels almost blurred. The colors are more crisp on the PS3, the Xbox everything from how to wash watercolors. Some do not even notice this, I do.
3) No integrated wireless connectivity. You have to buy an expensive adapter to have wireless connections.
4) No built-in optical / Toslink connectivity for connecting home theater audio. You have to buy an adapter.
5) Do not use rechargeable batteries. You have to buy a rechargeable battery and the kit to do so.
6) No big deal, but the interface is smaller screen sense then the PS3. I am an adult and the PS3 feels more like adults then children and young people focused.
7) must pay to play online. I do not understand. It is ridiculous to me. It’s too expensive. I can not play online with my friends when I can buy a month or a year of Xbox Live Pass. I like that about the Xbox. I hate this. I already gave them hundreds of dollars on the console, games and accessories, I always pay to play. As you can see, this is an important context for me. I can not even see my Netflix account without paying for an Xbox Live account. Boo!
The Xbox has shown very poor reliability. I think they have the most problems over the consoles, but plagued deleted. FOUR TIMES, my neighbor has replaced her Xbox 4 times! I did not. Touch your day every day, but I play one or two times a week for less than an hour.
Wii ============================================
I bought the Wii after playing it for a friend. I was impressed by the idea and experience of motion-based controls. We played golf, boxing, tennis, table tennis, was a great experience – for the first time.
After seeing the Wii I had lost interest quickly.
Here’s why:
1) horrible graphics. I paid good money for a 60 “1080p High Definition Home Theater has. The Wii graphics looks like a kiddy absolute crap on TV. The Wii is not high definition. It’s like the first generation of Nintendo NES on an HDTV. His terrible, and for this reason one why I can not enjoy my Wii. Nintendo is far behind the graphics of today’s high-end today.
2) The new Motion Controller is gone. It’s fun for some games, others frightening. I do not know the novelty of the Wii has taken from me, and some of my friends.
3) It functions as a modern, high quality, easy to feel. While I’m sure his’m reliable, it just feels like a toy, external, interface, games, etc. Sorry, I think it just grew.
Conclusion ============================================
Finally, I would say that the Wii is more appropriate for young children. The Xbox is a great device, and then the PS3. I can live without my Wii, but I’d have a hard time choosing between the Xbox and PS3. For this reason I choose to have both. If Xbox fact free online multiplayer (eliminating the cost of Xbox Live), including a Blu-ray player, I’d take the Xbox on a PS3 (even with the graphics on the PS3). But now I say buy both. With the Xbox as a gaming device, and justify the PS3 as a Blu-ray player with benefits.
If you buy a father to a teenager and want to buy just one unit to go to the Xbox 360 is likely that most of the friends of his son has done, and they can all play online.
If you are an adult who demands the best and have little time to play games (like me), get a PS3. Its sleek, its got better graphics, wireless, and has a Blu-ray player.
I hope this post gives you an overview and help you with your choice, and a little knowledge of all systems and an experienced owner and impartial. If so, please click “Yes” vote in this post to be useful.
